About Us
Caribbean Marine Surveyors Limited
have a 26’ Scarab fitted with a 250hp Yamaha outboard for a fast response
to any yacht in distress. We also own a Diesel Mazda four wheel drive
pick-up, which is very useful after a hurricane. Our office is located on
the second floor of a concrete building with full generator backup.
Meet the staff
W.J. (Bill) Bailey AMS MIIMS
is an Accredited Surveyor with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors
(SAMS) AMS 461, a member of the International Association of Marine
Investigators #2601 and a Member of the International Institute of Marine
Surveying #993. He has been sailing for over 48 years and lived in the
BVI for over 17 years.
Benson Baker SA Surveyor Associate with the Society
of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS). USCG 50 ton Master. Owns and lives
on a Nicholson 31. Experienced delivery skipper with about 25,000 blue
water miles. Benson has worked for Caribbean Marine Surveyors since May
2005.
Jon Clayton SA
Surveyor Associate with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS)
Sailed since he was 4 years old and has over 40,000 offshore miles. USCG
Command center Controller and
trained in SAR over 8 years. Managed a 30+ bareboat fleet in the
BVI and is the Skipper of a 65’ sloop. Jon has just joined the team in
July 2006.
Brett Stillman MIIMS has a completed a
diploma in Marine Surveying from the International Institute of Marine
Surveying. Brett joined the team in 2006 and comes from a long sailing
history including captain of various large sailing catamarans.
Joenel Pemberton. Personal Assistant / Secretary. Joenel was
born on St Vincent but has
lived in the BVI since 2001. She has worked for Caribbean Marine
Surveyors since May 2005.
P. W. Bailey has been surveying
for over 50 years and lived in the BVI for over 30 years. Now retired and
in his 80th year, Peter helps out in the office when needed.
He still crews on “Second Nature” as mainsheet hand in local races
Susan V. Demers, B.A., J.D., a partner at Price Findlay & Co.,
is our legal advisor.
Karl Prosser SA.
Unfortunately Karl Passed away in September 2006 after loosing a fight
